Bath Time

Jack had his first bath in the kitchen sink the other night. I used to bathe Ellie this way all the time before she got too big. He loved it and I was able to clean up the kitchen while he was playing. He had just eaten spaghetti and meatballs for dinner so he was a mess!

Ellie's New School

Ellie is going to be a Hutchison bee! We found out a few weeks ago that Ellie was accepted at Hutchison and St. Mary's. We are so excited that we chose Hutchison and I think she is going to love it there. They sent her this adorable bee the day after we found out that she got in.

Picture Day!

We had Ellie and Jack's pictures made today and I think they turned out great! I have included all the poses I ordered, but most of them are in black and white on my prints but the CD I have to upload them only shows them in color. I am so proud to be the Mommy to two such adorable babies. They amaze me every day how sweet they are. Their little faces just melt my heart. Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!

My favorite of Jack!

Dinner Time

Dinner time around our house is pretty crazy, but a funny thing happened last night. Blake and I were getting ready to eat and I had already started on my caesar salad and Jack kept reaching for it, so I gave him a tiny piece of lettuce. He loved it and kept reaching for more. It was the funniest sound hearing him crunch the romaine lettuce with his little teeth. I have never heard of a baby eating salad, but who knows! Below are some pictures from tonight. I made him another salad and Ellie was eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, her new dinner item. She calls them "crunchies."

Clapping Jack

Jack has learned to clap. We have been working on it and he finally got it the other day. He seems to be so proud of himself when he does it and just starts dying out laughing. Here he is working on his new skill.

Watching Mommy show me how its done.
I think I've got it!
I'm doing it!

Ellie and Jack

I havent posted pictures in a while, but this was Jack a few weeks ago enjoying his favorite meal, spaghetti and meatballs. He gets so dirty but loves every minute of it. He is still eating everything in sight.

Here are two pictures of Ellie in her new Trumpette rain boots.
Jack seems to be feeling a little bit better. We went back to the doctor yesterday and the pediatrician put him on a 14 day course of Augmentin and Prednisone, a steroid to help with his breathing. This is a picture of them tonight while Jack was eating dinner-a grilled cheese, carrots, peas and a cereal bar.

Update

So, I am out of jury duty and back at work today, but Jack is sick again so off to the doctor with his this afternoon. Hopefully its just a cold but he has been breathing weird so we are going to check it out.
Yesterday after I left jury duty, I went and picked up the kids at school and took them to Little Lambs and Ivy to get Ellie some new shoes. Her foot has these major growth spurts and she has had another. She immediately picked out these hot pink and black rain boots that were adorable. I have wanted to get her some because she has ruined two pairs of shoes lately splashing with our neighbor, Josh, in her nice shoes. So we got the boots (she even wore them out of the store). She also got a pink pair for school and after she tried them on I asked her if she liked them and she walked over to the mirror and said "these are cute." She is a girl who knows what she likes!

Jury Duty

I am on Jury Duty this week and today was my first day. I was all excited and ready to serve my civic duty. I have been so anxious about it and dying to serve on a trial, but today was an eye opening experience! First of all just getting there and listening to the 2 hour instructions was exhausting in itself. Then finally after lunch my name got called for Criminal Court. They called 50 people for a 14 person jury and I went over there to the courtroom. They drew at random 20 people and asked 1 million questions, like marital status, kids, where you work, ever been the victim of a crime, etc. Each side got to strike jurors and then they picked 10 more at random and ended up with their jury out of those numbers. The defendant was in the room about 10 feet from me and he kept looking back at us which was so freaky. So no robbery trial for me today, but I go back tomorrow for more fun with the great citizens of Memphis!

Emily and Hudson's Visit

Emily and Hudson were in town this weekend and we had such a good time with all the kids together. There really wasnt even a chance to leave the house because someone was always sleeping or needed to be fed. It was fun though, but we just wished they lived here! Ellie keeps asking to go back over to Mimi's house to see Emily and Hudson.

Emily took this nasty picture of Ellie. She was trying to set a record for how many peanut butter crackers she could eat at one time. She loves the way Mimi makes them for her. She loved having two babies to love on this weekend. She is so sweet with Jack and loves to make him laugh.
