Tubes

Such a happy boy...this was right after his surgery.

Jack got tubes in his ears on Monday. He did great and hopefully this will keep his ears clear. His left ear was completely full of fluid, which is what they thought after seeing him in the doctors office before the surgery. The right ear was starting to fill up too. So this should give him alot of relief since the pressure of that fluid filled in his ears is so painful. So we are happy everything went well.

Jack on the Box!

How adorable is this little boy?! He is such a cutie pie and just makes me smile. My mom kept both kids Saturday night and this was Jack getting into all of my mom's Christmas stuff when I was dropping them off. She had these boxes that he loved to crawl all over.

Day at the Zoo

As if seeing Santa last Saturday wasnt enough, after that I took Ellie to the zoo. Jack was with my mom so it was just the two of us and we had so much fun. Ellie is so animated and there is no where else she would rather be than the zoo. She loves animals and we are so lucky to have such a great zoo here. This new exhibit with the polar bears really is amazing. You can get so close and they just swim up at the glass.
I pretty much pushed around an empty stroller because she wanted to be strolled in then when she saw the first animal she wanted out and ran the entire way through the zoo.

Breakfast with Santa

Last weekend our neighborhood had Breakfast with Santa. Ellie had the best time and wasnt scared of Santa at all. Each child got called up individually and Santa had a present for them and Ellie got a Dora DVD, which she loved. She keeps saying "Santa brings Dora presents." She is really into Santa now after seeing him.

When Emily and Hudson were in town we got the kids dressed in their Christmas outfits to get some pictures. Unfortunately no one really cooperated to well. Jack is pretty much always smiling so that isnt hard but getting them all to look at the camera at the same time and smile was too much to ask for. They still look adorable though!

For those of you that dont keep up with us, the pictures above may seem normal. However they are not! For almost the past year Ellie has screamed and cried the whole time she got a bath. It was an exhausting exercise for Blake and me to get her in the bath and her hair washed. We found out she was in alot of pain when water would get in her ears because her tubes were trying to push out. So we have just dealt with her crying and hoped one day she would like her bath again. Well, that day has come and the pictures above prove it. She actually cried last night when she had to get out. Ellie and Jack took their first bath together and they both had a big time. Jack just laughs at everything she does and its so cute to watch them together. It really seems maybe Ellie is starting to grow out of her terrible 2's that have given Blake and me such a hard time for the past year. She is such a sweet little girl and now she is starting to show it more often!

Petting Zoo

This past weekend Blake and I took the kids to Christmas on the Square in Collierville. They had alot of different things for kids, but we really didnt get much farther than the petting zoo. Ellie just loves animals and she was in heaven going back and forth between petting the sheep and looking at the giant turkey. Jack just enjoyed being out in the great weather.
